The Research Based On Pattern Language In Xishu Garden Space

Xishu Garden is based on the center region of Chengdu, it is affected by the natural geography, history and culture, political, economic, social, religious and other effects.It gradually became to the region landscape with the characters of west Sichuan area.Nowadays, most research about XishuGarden tend to the garden history, landscape art, regional culture and landscape sequence, etc.But the research about the XishuGarden is relatively small and not a system.Under the tide of urban modernization the landscapes of cities in West Sichuan are almost the same, the lack of regional culture with related space theory instruction.Therefore, it is necessary for the study of the XishuGarden space form and form a research system.Xinfan east lake has a long history, local culture, strong context well-preserved, spatial expression diversity, spatial form is the most representative of classical landscape in theXishuGarden.It is one of the few classic landscape in our country have a trace to study in tang dynasty. Study of the Xishu Garden space layout form with xinfan east lake as an example is typical and meaningful.Schema language is originated in psychology, and is widely applied in linguistics,the concept of later became active in the artistic creation.In this paper, we use Annie spine's theory "the language of landscape" approach to botanical garden space schema language expression.This paper tries to use the method of pattern language from the Angle of the plane layout of Xishu Garden typical space to analyze and through the analysis of xinfan east lake space, discusses the feasibility of the schema language system the basic frame work resulting in a Xishu Garden space schema language system of the method and the characteristics of Xishu Garden space.At last, through the language system construction of xinfan east lake space and the landscape spatial analysis in Xishu Garden, the author sums up the construction of Xishu Garden space schema language system, and the method is to extract from the landscape design vocabulary, syntax and grammar and make a detailed analysis to the combination of the three parts form system. The main research conclusions:?Based on the study of space in Xishu Garden, hence there are 37 basic patters classified into 9 types which belong to the definition of "letter"; 32 basic patters classified into 12 types belong to definition of "word"; 10 combination patterns classified into 4 types belong to definition of "phrase". Every category gains its own characteristic and shares commonness.? The spatial planning and design in Xinfan Park is able to display Xishu garden's characteristics.? The Xishu garden's spatial characteristics are sharing same qualities with the Xishu Garden style, which mentioned in the< Xishu Garden> summarized by Professor Chen Qibin, they are belonging to the same generation.?asic patterns classified and summarized from this research, which retain Xishu Garden's characteristics, could be utilized involved into some modern garden design after variety of combination,We can conclude that the characteristics of the Xishu Garden space through the analysis of the spatial structure of landscape.lt discussed the schema language use in landscape and the effection of Xinfan east lake as the representative of Xishu Garden. The author hope that this paper can provide some enlightenment and thinking to the research in Xishu Garden space and the art of garden building.
