The Project Management Of EPC Project General Contracting

The EPC mode forms a major engineering project contract mode in the current international engineering market. In recent years, it also enters the domestic construction market gradually. With the popularization of EPC model in the domestic market, application of this kind of mode appears in more and more domestic construction enterprises. In the EPC project, how to give full play to its advantages, how the construction enterprise play its core role in guiding effective project implementation has become an important research topic.Based on the system of EPC management theory, this article discusses the definition, characteristics and development of EPC general contract model, analysis and compares the differences between the traditional mode and EPC mode, and points out the advantages and limitations of the EPC model. According to the current situation of the development of domestic construction market, the establishment of EPC contract mode to the construction enterprises as the core has the necessity and possibility, this paper puts forward the basic ideas that how to establish the EPC model of construction enterprise, and the specific steps and measures are put forward from the aspects of ideology, organization and management. This paper also in combination with the project example, construct a detailed research of the whole process of construction enterprises in the lead units in the implementation of BT project, the specific method of project selection, bidding management, design management, schedule management, cost management, capital management. In EPC project management, risk management is the key, according to the risk measurement method, the risk assessment of the engineering example was carried out by Delphi methods, and puts forward the risk control measures, provide a reference for effectively promoting the EPC project construction enterprises.This paper systematically studied the basic theory of EPC general contract mode, and in engineering practice application specific management methods, and puts forward some problems existing in EPC project implementation, for everyone to learn and use.
