The development during thecurrent twenty years has witnessed a remarkable progress. And from the past practice, wehave realized that the survey and design enterprises have already become the main forcesin general contracting projects due to their obvious integrated advantages.Based on an analysis of the current situation of the general contracting mode in ourcountry, this article has highly affirmed its achievements and objectively concluded themain problems during the development as well as their main reasons.Additionally, on the foundation of a full analysis of the national policy support to thegeneral contracting mode and the strengths of the survey and design enterprises, this articlehas put forward the solutions to the problem of how to establish an enterprisesmanagement mode suitable to the function of the engineering general contracting.Meanwhile, this article has also pointed that transforming the operating mode to promotethe engineering general contracting mode will be the route TADI (Tianjin ArchitectureDesign Institute) must take in the future after an analysis of TADI’s current situation andits development problems. Besides that, it has also come forward the general contractingmode for TADI in its early launch of the general contracting businesses.In the end, this article has given a systematical conclusion on the managementprocess and management ways of the aspects of choice and establishment of the projectorganization modes, early-stage procedure and bidding management, contract management,design management, processing and quality management, cost management, document andinformation management, etc.
