Then utilized climatology,ecology and other knowledge to analysis features of valley terrain, climate, hydrology, soil, summed up distribution characteristics and the advantages and disadvantages of the valley plant landscape resource. Besides this article also analyzed the main feature of tourist resort and the main functions of the plant landscape. Based on the two premises limiting factors characteristics analysis of "valley" and "travel resort", the article puts forward that valley type tourist resort of plant landscape design in Hunan region should follow the principle of ecological, sightseeing and regional; the plant landscape planning and design method is to grasp the characteristics of valley terrain environment and combining the function of landscape resort; put forward plant landscape design key points of different extents, including the mountaintop, mountain slope,valley bottom and valley stream. Using the case method, put the theoretical achievements of this thesis to guidance the project of valley tourism resort plant landscape design at Jiaoxi village, Liuyang city,Hunan province and to verify the applicability of the theory. And this paper summarized the research of tourist resort plant landscape in the end and put forward that the researches of tourist resort plant landscape can be developed in breadth and depth by quantified landscape study and research the different altitude valley type.
