Research On Children's Playground Design For Parent-child Interaction

Playing is one of the most important activities in people's childhood and also a good way to promote the development of children. It can't work without parents' company. The relationship between children and their parents is mutual, and good parent-child interaction is conducive to this relationship and children's psychological development. However parents are still in a subordinate position in children activity space design due to the ignorance of designers for adults' need. They are usually on the sidelines and lack of participation.The number of the real parent-child interaction space is very few. In addition, due to the flooding of the "McDonald's design model", children are still lack of interactive playing places. This paper mainly uses the concept of parent-child interaction in the development of psychology as a basis, and try to find the intersection point with other different subjects from a design perspective. Then summarize the demands and behavioral characteristics of the design object through the investigation of the parent-child interaction behavior in Shanghai. Find the design opportunities and put forward the strategies for the parent-child interaction space design. Finally, apply these strategies on a reform design of children's playground to provide a common play area. This can not only promote the development of children's personality and parent-child communication, but also provide a paradise which is full of childlike for adults.
