To carry out the strategic requirements for building ecological civilization as proposed by the Chinese government,and to drive the development of circular economy in order to establish a scaled and disciplined development of remanufacturing industries,the Ministry Of Industry and Information Technology is initiating pilots of engineering machinery remanufacturing across the engineering mechanical industry.The enterprises undergoing remanufacturing pilot start from scratch,and are often faced with the challenges of development and environmental protection.To study the effect of remanufacturing processes on environment by engineering machinery enterprises,and promote them to reach a high level of cleaner production,the paper takes the example of remanufacturing processes from Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Liugong),which is one of the first group of pilot enterprises,to demonstrate how well its remanufacturing processes and cleaner production work.Firstly,the author uses an observational evaluation method to analyze and compare the processes widely applied across the nationwide engineering machinery industry,and identify the effect on environment by the processes of engineering machinery remanufacturing in terms of environmental protection.Secondly,in combination with the actual conditions of Liugong remanufacturing factory,the analysis turns out the current level of cleaner production for Liugong remanufacturing processes.Thirdly,in light of the concept of total,system-wide pollution control,an analysis and assessment is made upon cleaner production according to the indicators such as product structure,state of the art,resource consumption,pollutants discharge and pollution mitigation during production.Furthermore,the paper proposes a reasonable pollution control solution for the enterprise,in order to reduce energy and resource consumption,maximizing added value of products and eventually reaching the goal of saving resources and energy and protecting environment.It also elaborates the relationship between remanufacturing and cleaner production,making it clear that remanufacturing itself is a cleaner way of production in the engineering machinery industry.The research shows that the cleaner production of Liugong remanufacturing processes is just average among counterparts across the nation.By improving remanufacturing processes and cleaner production management,and conducting cleaner production evaluation on a rolling basis,Liugong remanufacturing processes are sure to upgrade to a new level.The environmental protection measures put forward in the study can also provide a reference for cleaner production management for other remanufacturing enterprises in the engineering machinery industry.
