The Design And Implementation Of MSI System In Voyage Data Recorder

Ship VDR(voyage data recorder),which is commonly known as the ship's black box,is an equipment dedicated to record and preserve the ship's voyage data,status and instructions.According to the information recorded by this instrument,when an accident occurs,the cause of the accident can be analyzed and investigated,determine who should be responsible for the accident,draw lessons from it,and prevent the occurrence of similar accidents.The recorded information includes:AIS(automatic identification system)data,12 kinds of ship status information,radar graphic data,the sounds of cab and VHF communication.MSI(Multiple Serial Interface)system is a subsystem of the ship voyage data recorder,which is responsible for collecting,processing,transmitting,storing and replaying AIS data and 12 kinds of ship status information.Firstly,on the basis of The Maritime Safety Committee "Adoption Of Revised Performance Standards For Shipborne Voyage Data Recorders(VDRs)",the Chinese Classification Society "VDR Test Guide",the IEC-61162-1 agreement and the related literature,this paper determines the general design scheme of the system and the required functions,including the expansion of the embedded processor's serial ports,the simulation of 11 kinds of ship voyage relevant data and the collection of 13 kinds of serial data,the cyclic storage of the database,the extraction and playback of the stored data,etc.According to the general design scheme,design and implement each part of the system.This paper adopt the Cortex-A9 ARM processor i.MX6Q,which is produced by Freescale company,and expand the serial port of the processor through the FT4232H chip,programming for the acquisition,processing and transmission of 13 kinds of ship voyage data under the Linux operating system.Programming for the cyclic storage of 13 kinds of ship voyage relevant data and the playback of the related data stored in the database using VC++ programming tools under Windows operating system.This paper also program to simulate the production and transmission of 11 kinds of ship voyage status data based on the relevant agreements.Finally,according to the Chinese Classification Society's standard and the IEC-61162-1 agreement,the hardware and software are tested and the results show that each function of this system runs normally and stably,can meet the design requirements.
