Research On Measurement Method For Forces Acting On Cutters Cutting Rock And Soil

Present dissertation focuses on studies of force measurement for two typical rock and soil cutting tools,carrying out corresponding measuring methods respectively with independently designed specific force sensors.Main contents are listed below as:1.Tunnel Boring Machine is a machine that used to excavate tunnels with a circular cross section through a variety of soil and rock strata,as one of its main cutting tools,disk cutter keeps wearing inevitably in the tunneling progress.Present paper analyzes stress state of the disk cutter during-rock breaking progress,proposes force measuring method of disk cutter,designs and manufactures the force sensors.Disk cutter under operating mode condition is subjected with tri-axial forces,which are normal force Fn,rolling force Fr,and side force Fs respectively.Since eccentric wear of running disk cutter would alters its stress status,it is possible to detect disk cutter wear through measuring its stress status.These 3 forces loaded on cutter is acting on the wedge directly through the cutter shaft,hence forces can be measured by force sensors that installed on bottom and lateral face of the wedge respectively.Moreover,not only the tri-axial forces but also vibration status of disk cutter can be detected by real-time measuring.2.Another part of work in present work studies multi-dimension force measurement of plate form cutting tool during the soil cutting progress,for the purpose of providing necessary data that can be used in cutting tools design.The resistance acting on plate of cutter during soil cutting progress can be decomposed in to cutting horizontal force and cutting perpendicular force.Taking the tooth reamer as example,a multi-dimension force sensor that is available to measure the cutting horizontal force and cutting perpendicular force is designed,and the cutting force measure system is developed.Forces and bending-moment curve of cutter plate were measured in progress of cutting the water saturated sand,results validated the reliability of the force sensor as well as the measure system.
