With rapid development of smart grid and Internet of Things technology,it is significant to apply Internet of Things technology to smart grid.Key technologies about application of Internet of Things technology to smart grid is studied and three types of applications is discussed deeply,especially smart grid sensing node technology,Internet of Things technology based aided monitoring and pre-warning technique of smart grid substation and Internet to Things technology based smart grid fault monitoring management technology.Firstly,hardware design of smart grid sensing node is analyzed.Moreover,control software is developed gradually based on the hardware,mainly including microclimate collection program design and wireless communication program design.Secondly,aided monitoring and pre-warning technique of smart grid substation based on Internet of Things technology is discussed on two aspects.The first is the research on wireless sensing network technology.The sensor nodes are distributed at any positions of monitoring region.It forms network in the form of organization and transmits the collected data to base station in the multihop way.The second aspect is converging data collected by node receiving sensor,integrating,processing and transmitting data to task management node in the way of internet,mobile radio communications or satellite channel.At last,the smart grid fault monitoring management technology based on Internet of Things technology is discussed.Corresponding organization and node information is recorded based on selecting gradient topological attribute and the circuit,fault generated owing to topological relation was displayed,fault omission and false report information was processed by using fault positioning.Through constructing node’s Forward and backward node matrix,fault analyzing will done based on it,not only the position the fault can be analyzed rapidly,but also the fault through setting proper threshold value will be judged.
