The bionic flapping wing flight vehicle is a new aircraft that combines with bionics and micro mechanical and able to complete the Complex flight by flapping flight.Compared with the traditional fixed wing and rotor aircraft it has more extensive application prospect In the field of military and civilian areas because of its small volume,light weight,good concealment.This paper design a new flapping wing drive mechanism and study the mechanism of birds and insects fly,drive mechanism design,the aerodynamic characteristics of the micro size analysis and laboratory prototype.Researching on birds and insect flight for high lift method to estimate the flapping wing flight vehicle to obtain the high lift mechanism.Analyzing the structure of bird wings and aerodynamic configuration and the movement of wings in a cycle.Studying the Insects flight with beating effect,the leading edge vortex effect,Flip wings effect and Wake capture effect.Applying these research results to the design of the bionic flapping wing flight vehicle.Flapping-wing drive mechanism is the core part of the design.Designing a new 2d drive mechanism by comparing three different flapping wing drive mechanism to drive the flapping wing flutter and twisting.Analyzing movement characteristics of drive mechanism accord to the aircraft design requirements.Calculating the new drive mechanism size parameters of the crank and connecting rod and slider stroke as well as relationship with position with Graphic method and numerical analysis to construct a three dimensional model to carry out mechanism's kinematics simulation.The results showed that the mechanism motion smoothly,without interference,meet the design requirements.Using the Fluent software establishes the two-dimensional flow field model to analysis the influence of different flapping amplitude,torsion Angle and flow speed.Analysis results showed that the flapping wing flight under large flapping amplitude can generate greater lift,along with the increase of torsion angle thrust proportional increase but the lift didn't change obviously,the increase of flow velocity makes the trailing edge vortex influenced the thrust.Verify the principle of the flapping wing flight by producing leading edge vortex to get a big lift and in a flapping cycle occurs twice trailing vortex shedding form the “Karman” vortex street.Provide theoretical basis for subsequent structure design.Designing mechanical parts according to the results of theoretical analysis and actual situation.Designing bionic wing vein structure increased the strength of their wings and using the 120 °V type tail structure and streamlined design makes the vehicle has better lateral stability.Selecting materials that physical properties meet the requirements to product mechanical parts.Finally the laboratory prototype's test results comply with the design requirements.
