With environmental pollution problems constantly emerging,as an important source of environmental pollution,automobile has attracted public attention.The request of nation for the car is more and more strictly,such as the reduction of vehicle emissions.As an important member of the car family,pickup's market share is less than family car,but its displacement is greater than that of the ordinary family car--fuel consumption is greater than 10 Lper 100 kilometers.According to statistics,0.4 ~ 0.6 liters of fuel could be economized per hundred kilometers,as auto weight decreases 100 kg.If the vehicle weight reduces 10%,then the fuel efficiency could be increased by 6% ~ 8%,and carbon dioxide emissions could be reduced by 1 kg.Lightweight vehicles of pickup has become one of the big problems of the automobile manufacturing industry.In this paper,the finite element analysis in operation conditions of a domestic pickup truck frame has been made,and the lightweight optimization design on multi-objective optimization is carried on.Three-dimensional solid model is established by using CATIA software.This three-dimensional solid model is geometry processed by using Hyper Mesh software.Mesh generation and boundary condition in the pre-treatment of the finite element analysis are used to establish load-up condition in multiple conditions.Strength,stiffness and modal are analyzed by using optistruct.At different operational conditions,the force situation of frame can be viewed.The lightweight model based on optistruct is established through defining the optimization variables,restricting function and designing variables.Several groups of optimal solution after optimized will be set in collision model to check their impact absorption energy.The optimal solution of light weight is obtained after comparing the several groups of data.
