Ergonomics Study On Pickup Automobile Cab

Based on the currently domestic cab design of Pickup, this paper analyzed the cab of Pickup with fundamental principles and theories of Ergonomics and the corresponding design principles and evaluating methods was established. The height, width and the back and forth motion scope of the seat's design data were gained via a series of operation formulas, and the result is expected to be the scientific criterion for the cab seat design of Pickup. The optimized sound instrument display unit modality, which could reduce the recognizing fatigue and lessen the misregistration rate, was proposed after analyzing the present units in the ergonomics way. The steering wheel, footboard data area was calculated in reason by ergonomically analyzing of the manual operation device and pedal operation device of Pickup in some respects like operating area, operating force, operating characteristic. And parts of operation devices were optimized. On the basis of aforementioned, the inquiry system was discussed initially on the design of Pickup cab. And this would offer reference to the design and produce of Pickup cab. The environment of the cab was analyzed theoretically in the lighting, color, atmosphere surrounding, etc. In this paper the optimizing suggestion of the cab environment was partly made and it is expected to be the references of the cab design in the security, comfort and amenity.
