China's social economy has experienced a period of rapid development in the 40 years of reform and opening up.The urban spatial development system is gradually transitioning from “single center” to “multi-center,integration”,but most cities are still in a single-center development stage,suburban residential areas and The independence of the central business district leads to a significant separation of occupations and residences,which leads to tidal traffic problems.The conventional variable lane can dynamically allocate road resources according to the tidal traffic characteristics,which is an effective measure to alleviate the tidal traffic congestion.However,the following limitations exist: First,the variable characteristics of the lane function are not fully developed;second,the function switching mode relies on labor.Third,the distributed tidal intersections are less concerned with the steering characteristics of the traffic flow;the fourth is the lack of lane function and coordinated optimization of the signal control scheme.Based on the above limitations,this paper takes the variable lane as the research object to further improve the road traffic efficiency,and studies the setting method of the variable lane of the signal-controlled level crossing.(1)New variable lanes for urban roadsThe conventional variable lane has the limitation of poor universality,and the new variable lane can realize the improvement of road traffic efficiency through the innovation of organization design and management mode and the pre-signal.Based on the summary of the existing new variable lane setting principle,this paper proposes a lane-by-pass and combined variable lane,which realizes coordinated control by setting the pre-signal opening and closing time,and the road traffic of the new variable lane.Capacity impact and applicability are analyzed to establish a capacity growth model.(2)Adaptive variable guidance lane coordination control systemAiming at the limitation of the current lane function switching mode,this paper proposes an adaptive variable guidance lane coordination control system to construct a system control framework consisting of traffic state prediction,VAL function decision and main signal optimization.Firstly,the FCM algorithm,Random Forest and detection data are used to predict the traffic state,then the VAL function decision is executed according to the real-time traffic state and function switching constraints.Finally,the signal control scheme is further based on the phase saturation,real-time data and lane function division scheme.optimization.Case studies show that the use of adaptive control systems is more efficient than separate channelization design,lane function optimization,and signal control optimization.(3)Multi-lane combination optimization setting methodIn order to solve the problem that the lane function division scheme and the traffic flow steering characteristics are poorly matched due to the tidal lane function switching,this paper proposes a multi-lane combination optimization setting method,which optimizes the organization,layout design and signal optimization through two types of variable lanes.Measures to further improve the efficiency of the tide crossings.
