A Research On Space Compensation Method For High-Density Buildings In “Compact City”

Based on the macro background of compact city development model,this thesis has proposed the compensation method for high-density buildings.At present,the increasingly fast pace of economic development,combined with rapid urbanization and high-density population has resulted in the increasing contradiction between population and land,and a growing demand for space,so high-density building space has turned to an important topic in the urban development of 21 st century and city compactness has become the main form of urban space.“Compact city” has provided more forms for urban space,so in high-density city environment,it is inevitable for buildings to face the problem of space design.Population expansion and compact urban development are the main forms of urban space development.Meanwhile,compact urban development has also equipped urban space design with more possibilities and composition forms.However,what follows by is that building space design can't stick to the conventions again,and need to find a development way that suits to high-density buildings.Apart from high-density space,there also exist such problems as poor space quality and overcrowded space that don't live up to the requirements of livable environment and high-quality environment,which are usually caused by high-density space.Aiming at the demand for numerous high-density buildings in “compact city”,there needs more exploration and breakthrough in space design for high-density buildings to deal with the space problems.On the basis of data ordering and relative material analysis,this thesis analyzed the necessity and urgency for space compensation research from the perspectives of compact urban environment,the power of population growth,the pressure from space requirement,the development direction of urbanization,and the livability of human activities.Then it explored and concluded the compensation methods for high-density building space purposefully.The objective of the thesis is to analyze and summarize the compensation methods for high-density building space caused by city compactness after analyzing the requirements of building space in the special environment of “compact city”,then analyze and discuss the space compensation methods one by one to summarize the universal law of space compensation methods of high-density buildings in such special environment.
