Optimization Analysis Of Commuter Express Bus Lines In Hangzhou Based On Geographical Information System

The development of public traffic is recognized as a valid measure for urban traffic congestion.With the vigorously development of public transport,urban congestion problems have been effectively alleviated in most of Chinese cities.Despite of this,the fast progress of urbanization still brings new problems and challenges to urban traffic.One of the challenges is how to alleviate traffic pressure,especially peak period congestion in road,before rail transit network formed.To solve this problem,commuter express bus was designed and worked well of domestic cities.This suggests us that bus plays an important role in the public transport system.Especially people's travel demand changes with the development of urban sprawl,the bus lines of optimization is getting more and more important.Compared with conventional mathematical model optimizing methods,the Geographic Information System(GIS)has powerful ability of data process and spatial analysis,which can provide more technical support and theoretical guidance for optimizing the commuter express bus lines,promote the construction of intelligent transport system,and enhance the level of public traffic planning.Based on the related research results,this paper puts forward the method on how to optimize the bus routes by GIS techniques.Firstly,it set up the evaluation index system for commuter express bus lines based on GIS,from the angle of overall evaluation,convenience and comfort.Secondly,building the basic databases of commuter express bus based on GIS technology,and giving a definition of spatial locations and the performance characteristics of every elements.The database system mainly includes urban fundamental information(consists of four elements: urban land,urban population,streets division and road network)and commuter express network information(consists of two elements: Commuter express bus site and routes).Finally,this paper takes an example of Hangzhou “Huayuandou to Traffic Police Detachment” express bus lines,and gives the modeling steps of GIS-database and demonstrates the concrete solution procedure.According to analysis results,principle and object of optimization design,this article proposed the route optimization plans.
