| Accompanied with the increasing of the urbanization, the environmental situation was becoming more and more serious, and residents in these cities are increasingly eager to live in livable environments. Thus, it will be the direction that ornamental horticulture with features of productivity and experience would be more popular. In this study, focusing on the combination of garden plants, the need of residents for the garden experience, and also the productivity garden, we studied the experiential planting of landscape design by the methods of field investigation and questionnaire. The main results of this study are as follows:First, the investigation results showed that most of residents have great willingness to practice the gardening planting, and only few of them have no willingness on that. According to the investigation results, we proposed the concept on of the experiential planting of green spaces between dwellings. The experiential planting allows residents choose proper plants according to the landform around houses. It will provide a place for the experiential gardening activities of residents.Second, following the rule of biodiversity of ecosystem and humanity, and meanwhile focusing on the practicality and productbility, we suggested that the landscape design should reform the land to create the proper landform for the growing of plants. Plants should be selected according to the landform and seasons. In order to add the interesting of gardening, fences, and trellises should be properly used.Third, to produce experiential planting views which have their unique features, we proposed five models of the planting collocation:a) flower border; b) mountain and water garden designing; c) trellis designing; d) flowering shrubs; e) flower bed.The construction of beautiful experiential planting landscape of green spaces between dwellings could be helpful for the residents to take part in the producing activities and touch the nature, and also could help to the resolve problems of the homogenization, less experiential, and less production in the traditional planting landscape of green spaces between dwellings, and therefore it will improve the life quality of residents. |
