Many sources can cause design changes in a complex product development processes,such as new requirements of customers,technological innovation;design flaw.Changes on component are likely to lead to changes to another one,which in turn can generate a series of change propagation paths.That will have influence on price,time and quality of our product.Therefore,we need to predict and control the design change propagation of product.Compared with change propagation model which need to manage change one by one in the past,a parallel change propagation model is presented to search the shortest path.Intersection and subset are used to analyze parallel change propagation.To select the shortest propagation path based on Degree of Parallelism.In the end,we discuss the process of change propagation under the limited resources.This thesis includes six chapters.Chapter one presents briefly the definition of engineering change,engineering change process and summarizes the current engineering change research status at home and abroad.And at last it makes the main research purpose and meaning.Chapter two presents the development,classification and features of design structure matrix,and determine the model of design structure matrix based on parts.Chapter three sets up parallel change propagation model,which will save more time for designers.In order to calculate the total time of parallel process,we puts forward the concept of parallelism.It can gets the change propagation path through the search change propagation path algorithm based on time.Chapter four is the specific case.It contacts the function,structure and manufacturing of complex product design,and selects the shortest propagation path based on Degree of Parallelism.Intersection and subset are used to analyze parallel change propagation.Chapter five is the process of engineering change propagation under the limited resources,briefly introducing the critical path method and activity-on-node.And discusses the delay time of task under limited resources through activity-on-node.Chapter six makes the conclusion and gives research work of the next step.
