Although the development of double deck multiple units eases the high-speed railway passenger-flow pressure and reduces consumption per person effectively,greater challenges will be brought to the fire rescue due to its more complex structure and larger amount of capacity.Therefore,it is extremely important to study the flue gas characteristics of train fire of double deck multiple units.In this paper,the theoretical analysis,experimental research and numerical simulation are used together to calculate the fire characteristics of a typical vehicle of a double deck multiple units.The flue gas spread law and passenger evacuation environment of four typical fire locations are studied.First of all,based on the theoretical analysis of flue gas plume and the structural difference between double deck MUs trains and ordinary high-speed trains,the characteristics of flue gas plume of double deck multiple units are determined.Secondly,determining four typical fire conditions of double-deck MUs through According to the investigation of train fires at home and abroad,as well as the risk calculation,the main causes of train fire are analyzed and four typical fire conditions of double-deck MUs are determined.The numerical simulation method is used to establish the fire calculation model of the double-deck MUs,and the fire of different fire location is calculated to analyze the distribution of main characteristic parameters of flue gas spread,then the flue gas flow characteristics of the double-deck MUs fire are obtained.Finally,based on the criteria of personnel risk determination under fire conditions,the three control parameters of train fire are non-dimensionalized and the safe evacuation environment of each area in the train compartment is analyzed synthetically.The safe evacuation time and the control parameters which determine the safety of personnel escape are obtained under various working conditions,and the specific evacuation strategy is put forward for each fire condition.In this paper,the researching results of the smoke characteristics and the safe evacuation of the double-deck MUs fire system provide reference for the escape and rescue work of the double-deck MUs fire.
