With the rapid growth of China's renewable energy installed capacity,large-scale renewable energy accommodated issue becomes more and more serious.Due to the power system structure,transmission channels and many other factors,the curtailment phenomenon of wind power and photovoltaic in China's "Three North" area is becoming more and more serious.Further strengthening renewable energy integration capability has significant impact on improving wind and solar' utilization efficiency,promoting utilization of green energy and facilitating the low-carbon operation.Based on the above background,a multi-regional production simulation method is used to simulate the operation of medium and long term planning of renewable energy sources.By calculating the curtailment rate of renewable energy,the renewable energy absorption capability of the system is evaluated,then analyze and quantitative evaluate the impact of different measures on renewable energy consumption so that to study renewable energy absorption capability.Firstly,the basic characteristics of renewable energy power generation are analyzed,and the renewable energy annual timing generation forecasting simulation based on historical data was established,which was applied to production model for multi-regional power production.An example is given to illustrate the rationality and validity of the power output model by taking a practical renewable energy power generation in a province as an example.Secondly,starting from the existing problems,main influencing factors,this paper analyzed the absorption capability of renewable energy.The paper also established annual sequential production simulation model for large-scale wind and solar power generation absorption capability study.Taking China northwest region power grid as an example,calculates the absorption capability of the example.Finally,this paper conducted a case study using the actual data of China northwest region power grid.With consideration of influential factors,this paper proposed a quantitative evaluation method of evaluating renewable energy absorption capability from the three aspects of sources-grid-loads.This paper also conducted sensitivity analysis and quantitative evaluation on different accommodation measures,and summarized the influences of multidimensional measures in sources-grid-loads on the renewable energy absorption capability of China northwest region power grid.In addition,the economic analysis and comparison of these measures are carried out.This research formulated methodology of studying renewable energy absorption capability,providing a theoretical basis for the renewable energy planning and absorption.
