In recent years,there has been having a remarkable increase of travel demand during holidays.Yet it produces a pressure on traffic organization and management that masses of travelers accumulate in time and space,although urban transportation infrastructure is improved gradually.Compared to daily travels,people rely more on traffic information during holidays.Meanwhile,there are various approaches to get information with the development of the society.Therefore,it provides a feasible approach for managers to interfere the travel behavior during holidays through appropriate information service.First of all,based on the research status quo at home and abroad,the characteristic of travel behavior under the influence of traffic information during holidays and the mechanism of the influence of traffic information on it are summarized.On that basis,traffic information,personal attributes and travel characteristic are proposed to affect the travel decisions.Traffic information cognition is defined for the description of the degree of the influence on travel decisions.Furthermore,it is assumed to be affected by the demographics and social economic characteristic of travelers.Secondly,a structural equation model concerned with the mechanism of the travel behavior under traffic information is constructed to model the relationship between the travelers' attributes and traffic information cognition with the intention of the adjustment of travel behavior.With regard to the feature that traffic cognition can't be observed directly,it is treated as a latent variable to get a quantifiable measurement.Finally,as travel behavior during holidays is influenced by traffic information,traveler's attributes and travel characteristics,a SEM-MNL integration model is built,in which travelers' attributes like age and occupation,travel characteristics like companion and travel purpose,traffic information cognition are considered during holidays.In addition,in order to prove the practicality of SEM-MNL integration model,a MNL model which ignores the impact of traffic information is constructed as a comparison.The data from a holiday travel behavior survey on National Day in Beijing are used to calibrate the model.It is indicated that the accuracy and explanatory power of the SEM-MNL integration model is prior to the MNL model.
