Anti-seismic design of bridges can be divided into ductility seismic design and seismic mitigation and isolation design.Seismic mitigation and isolation design separates bridges from seismic oscillation or absorb seimic energy useing certain measures or additional devices.Based on the design philosophy of "bearing function separation",and by combining theoretical calculation with the test study,this article systematically studied the seismic performances of the steel damping bearing.The main research and conclusions are as follows:1.The pseudo-static experiment of the steel damping bearing specimens is carried out.The seismic mitigation on steel damping bearing are analyzed by the experimental results of hysteresis curves,skeleton curves,the initial elastic stiffness and stiffness degradation,strength degradation and equivalent viscous damping coefficient and other indexes;2.The steel damping bearing model has been established using finite element program,getting the hysteresis curves,skeleton curves,etc.,and compared with the test results,test results was consistent with the results of finite element simulation,showing that damping bearing steel has good shock absorption performance;3.Simply supported beam bridge has been established,and the dynamic response of steel damping bearing simply supported girder bridges under the action of earthquake was studied;4.The difference between damping bearing bridge and ordinary bearing beam bridge has been analyzed when they were calculated using the railway engineering seismic code(GB50111-2006).The simple calculating process of steel damping bearing bridges was given,and the error was small compared with the results of routine calculation.So the simplified calculation method can take the place of the routine calculation which is complicated and time consuming;5.The influence of pier height on the seismic response of simply supported girder bridge with steel damping support was studied.The damping rate of the simply supported girder bridge was calculated by using the simplified calculation method and the time calculation method respectively when the pier height were 5m,8m,10m,15m and 20m.
