Structure parts are the important component of aircraft wing and fuselage,the efficiency and quality of the structure parts modeling directly affect the overall quality of the aircraft structure design.In the similar structure,the repetitive query parameters and manual input operation of traditional modeling method increased the burden to designers and reduced the design quality and efficiency of the aviation structure.In view of this situation,the rapid modeling technology for the widely used structure was studied in this paper.By means of CAA,secondary development of CATIA was carried out under the environment platform of Studio Visual 2005.And the rapid modeling system was built based on aviation structure.The main researches are as follows:1)3D parametric model of aircraft structure was rapidly built.According to the analysis of characteristics and structure for aviation structure,the relevant information was summed up and the unified model design process was determined.Parametric modeling based on dimension driving and parametric modeling based on feature were used to realize the rapid modeling respectively.On this basis,the feature information extraction library was created to accomplish the identification and extraction of parts feature.And the information was expressed by 3D annotation technology.2)Model library design and management of aerospace structure parts were realized.According to the organization of model information,the model library was created to realize the exchange function of model information,data information and Excel data.The problem of data storage and model query was effectively solved.3)Variant design and reuse of aerospace structure parts were accomplished.According to the characteristics and design information of aviation structure in model base,the part instance reasoning,case retrieval and matching were completed by the case-based reasoning technology.The large similar part model fulfilled design requirements were retrieved.Then,the super copy function and the increasing or de creasing of characteristic were applied to realize the variant design of the model,accomplish the rapid modeling of model and realize the reuse of model.4)The construction and testing of the rapid modeling system were carried outbased on aviation structure.Parametric design modeling,3D annotation of model,creation of model base and variant design were integrated into CATIA system,and the function modules of the system were verified and tested.The rapid modeling system based on aviation structure has been installed and used in the project cooperation unit.And it was applied in the design of a certain type of aircraft.The development of the rapid modeling system realized the rapid modeling of the model,improved the standard and intelligence of parts design,and it had positive significance for the development of the aviation manufacturing industry.
