The Optimization Of Construction Process By The Value Stream Mapping Technique

In recent years,the real estate industry has been developed rapidly.The activeness of the market has brought more opportunities of performance,but the extensive mode of construction has made the construction enterprises be faced with grate waste.In many construction enterprises,there are problems like high construction cost,long duration of the project and quality deviation.However,since the optimization of the construction process are more focused on the final results of quality,cost and schedule,mostly the optimization is in these aspects,causing the elimination of non-value-creating part,which is the waste,is not considered.Waste commonly exists in the construction process.The VSM method is widely used interaction he process of production and manufacture to identify and eliminate all kinds of waste in the field of production,realizing the purpose of lean production.With the deepening of VSM method and the proposing and popularization of lean construction method,VSM are gradually applied in the field of construction to eliminate the waste generated in the process of construction,realizing lean construction.Based on the analysis of VSM method and relevant optimization methods of construction process,this paper establishes the model of construction process optimization using VSM method.The model mainly consists of procedures as selection of objects of study,collection of data,drawing of status map,identification and elimination of VSM waste,drawing of future status map and constant optimization with discrete event system simulation.After the three kinds of waste in the construction process are identified,three different ways are used to eliminate the waste.Based on the VSM method and combined with FAHP and discrete event system simulation,this paper establishes the optimization model of complex construction and production process,eliminates the main kinds of waste in the construction process and realizes the purpose of lean construction.Using a certain construction project as an example,the fifth chapter is mainly about the practical application of the optimization model of construction process,in which the waste in construction process is identified and eliminated and the purpose of lean construction is realized.Suggestions of constantly promoting the construction process of construction projects are proposed.Therefore the VSM method can be applied in the construction process to identify and eliminate waste and realize the optimization of construction process.
