With the rubber powder content and particle size as variables,the mechanical properties and deformation characteristics of epoxy resin concrete mixed with rubber particles were probed.Using the method of rubber particles replacing the same volume of sand,the compressive strength,splitting strength,flexural strength and the deformation properties were studied respectively by different sand replacement ratio(5%,10%,15%,20%,25%)and different particle size(the average particle size of 0.5 mm,1.5 mm,4.0 mm).Results show that with the increase of rubber powder content,the mechanical properties of epoxy resin concrete decline by varying degrees.And with the increase of dosage,mechanical performance degradation degree does not show increasing trends;the mechanical properties decrease by the minimum extent with the diameter rubber particles(average particle size of 1.5 mm)and its deformation performance is better compared to other two contrasts.The results of strain and deflection test show that the addition of rubber particles into the epoxy resin concrete turns the destruction into obvious ductile fracture after plastic deformation,and the flexural toughness increased,and also the flexural ultimate strain of the epoxy resin concrete are improved greatly compared to the control specimens.With the incorporation of the rubber particles of 1.5mm size,the new epoxy resin rubberized concrete were used as the repair material.The repair section of the cement based material is divided into natural and smooth section of area,natural cross section for the cement concrete section and smooth section for the cement mortar sections.The rubber particle replacement ratio of sand of the two kinds of sections both are 5%,10%,15%,5%,25%.The test results show that the strength of the repair based material after repair by the epoxy resin composite material is related to the strength of the repair based material;under the condition of the strength of the repair based material weaker than that of the repair material,stronger of the based material,the greater the strength of the specimens after repair is.The epoxy resin composite material to repair cement based material can greatly increase the limit deformation ability of specimens while not substantially reducing or even increasing the strength of original specimens,making the repaired specimens turn into obvious ductility characteristics.After repairing,the strength of specimen manifests a rule of decrease first,then increase to the extreme value,then decrease again with the increase of rubber particles.And the strength reaches the maximum value at the 20% rubber particles replacement ratio.According to the request of the test condition and theoretical analysis,this paper gives a definition of deformation compatibility coefficient r objectively reflecting the deformation compatibility of the specimen after repair.This paper also suggests values of rubber particles replacement ratio according to different engineering realities after the analysis of the deformation compatibility coefficient.
