Ground penetrating radar(GPR)is a rapidly and without damage detection of geological structure and hidden in the ground floor of a variety of non metal or metal target detection method,it can through high frequency pulsed electromagnetic wave reflection detection of underground target distribution form and characteristics.By emitting a corresponding electromagnetic wave to the target and then receives the reflected,according to survey the related data elements,through the image analysis and processing,to explore structure and space of water conservancy project and to determine the detection medium properties and structure of high resolution information.This paper expounds the characteristics and development history of the geological radar,and discusses the feasibility and necessity of the geological radar to detect the quality of the water conservancy project.Through the research on the principle of geological radar and technical parameters,analyzes the characteristics of electromagnetic wave propagation in the medium,describes in detail the geological radar detection,preparation work and detection parameters set,by the GPR data processing and image interpretation to analyze the advantages of geological radar detection.The geological radar technology applied to water conservancy projects,respectively the Beidagang Reservoir dike crack,Chaobai River levee,the Qing River old Longwan sluice,and run puddles of water pumping station projects involving river of geological radar detection,solve the practical engineering problems.Through the field test,it is proved that the quality inspection of the highway,embankment,reinforced concrete,underground pipeline and other projects by using geological radar technology is feasible.The critical parameters of geological radar electric parameters and system parameters repeatedly verification test,grasp the different detecting,optimization of key parameters,for further geological radar technology popularization and application in water conservancy engineering quality detection of accumulated experience.At the same time,the K-L transform is used to reduce the noise of the geological radar signal.When the K-L transform is determined,the characteristic value is determined to be the best choice.By using different geological radar data processing method,the radar received signal is processed,and the ability of the geological radar image characteristic is formed.Finally,the paper describes the practicality and the research results of the geological radar,and discusses the development and extension of the geological radar detection technology.
