At present,China's railway engineering design method is in transition from total safety factor method to limit state method.The retaining structure is an important part of the railway subgrade,and the limit state design expression and partial coefficients of the commonly used retaining structures have been proposed.In the initial stage of the transition,the necessary verification is required to ensure that the structures designed according to different methods have close results and equivalent reliability.In this context,this paper has carried on the system verification research to the limit state design of the retaining walls,specific work is as follows:1.Using the common design parameters of railway,the gravity retaining walls,balance weight retaining walls and cantilever retaining walls are designed according to the total safety factor method and limit state method respectively.The control rules and the wall section size difference in different design conditions are compared.2.Analyzed the causes of the calculation error of the partial coefficient and the deviation of the design result,including the number of partial coefficient divisions,the correlation between the variables,the difference between the stable calculation formula,the wall back boundary condition and the different design condition.3.The partial coefficients are adjusted according to the verification results.Re-designed retaining walls,the vast majority of the wall calibration results are controlled within 5%of the deviation.Some partial coefficients are unified,and a set of partial coefficients is recommended.4.Introduced the design approaches and the coefficient system of geotechnical structure in Eurocode.An example is given to illustrate the differences between the Eurocode and the design methods of retaining walls in China.Calculated and compared the wall section size and the reliability of anti-overturning,anti-sliding functions.
