This thesis,supported by a university-enterprise cooperation project called ‘study on key techniques of crawler chassis dynamics of hydraulic excavator XE60CA',mainly studied on the travelling performance of track chassis of hydraulic excavators.Hydraulic excavator is one of engineering machinery which is the most widely used in mechanical construction engineering.Travelling performance of track chassis is essential for efficiency of hydraulic excavators.By extensively reviewed the relevant literature from domestic to overseas,this thesis summarized the hydraulic excavator's present research situation?application field?the future development trend and so on,then the structure and driving principle of the crawler chassis was introduced,theoretical calculation analysis running resistance,traction,ground adhesion force and other key parameters were summarized.The above provides a reference for the virtual prototype simulation analysis of hydraulic excavators.In the process of research on track chassis dynamic characteristics,crawler walking device contains so many components,and every component contains so many dynamic key parameters,because of these,virtual prototype modeling is complex and a big workload for research workers.Then,this thesis,based on the structure characteristics of parts of crawler chassis and working characteristics,developed parameterized modeling software of track chassis,based on second development platform,PNet,of multi-body dynamics simulation software,Recur Dyn.This software,with strong engineering practical significance,greatly provides the research workers' work efficiency and improves the level of independent research on the hydraulic excavator crawler chassis.This thesis,based on XE60 CA hydraulic excavator,built the virtual prototype model of the crawler chassis,then simulated and analyzed the model in three typical working conditions,flat straight,climbing,and differential steering,extracted the crawler chassis driving speed,driving moment,driving power curve and so on,at last based those curves,analyzed the dynamic characteristics of crawler chassis.In addition,crawler tension has a great influence on the dynamic performance of crawler chassis,this thesis simulated and analyzed the model under different pre tensioning force,and put forward the reasonable pre-tensioning force,based on influence law of pre tensioning on the drive power,dynamic tension,and dynamics of loose edge.In order to ensure that the virtual prototype model can accurately reflect the actual movement process of crawler chassis,this thesis designed experiments on the track chassis of XE60 CA hydraulic excavator.This thesis provided a better theoretical basis for track chassis modeling and kinematics analysis and better guide the crawler chassis of mechanical design and manufacturing.
