Hypoid gears are widely used in automobile,mine and other fields because of their high carrying capacity,high coincidence ratio and stable transmission.In the current digital,information-based and intelligent development trend,digital technology accelerates the penetration of advanced design and manufacturing,triggering a major progress in mechanical engineering technology.With the needs of modern engineering,the performance requirements of hypoid gearing are becoming higher and higher.This paper relies on the tutor large hypoid gear processing equipment development and research projects,on the three aspects of the solid modeling of hypoid gears with HFM method,the program design and application of tooth contact analysis(TCA)with HFM method conducted a series of studies and provide machining parameters for hypoid gears in actual production.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)According to the meshing principle and the principle of gear cutting,the mathematical model of hypoid gears with HFM method is established.Three dimensional coordinate values of discrete points of tooth surface are solved by numerical method.Based on SolidWorks,the HFM model hypoid gear pair solid model is constructed.(2)The TCA principle of hypoid gear HFM method is studied.The TCA mathematical model of hypoid gear HFM method is established,and the computerized program is programmed.The automatic solution algorithm of initial contact point of group HGM method TCA initial value is extended to HFM method TCA.Through a large number of calculations,the algorithm of HFM method TCA initial contact point initial value automatic setting is proved to be efficient and stable.(3)Based on the HFM method hypoid gear TCA,the modification of typical small wheel control parameters which affect the contact area diagram of tooth surface and the transmission error curve is studied and the influence rules of relative parameters adjustment are summarized.In addition,the influence of typical small wheel control parameters correction on TCA results is studied at different gear ratio,and a general correction method of small wheel control parameters is given.
