Study On The Spatial Form Of Traditional Villages In Southeast Hubei Based On Chinese Environmental Aesthetic Thoughts

With the development of urbanization and economy,the natural environment,the cultural atmosphere and the typical landscape of traditional villages are facing with serious threats,and some are even extinct.The traditional village is the product of farming civilization.It is the root of Chinese civilization recording the development of society and the progress of civilization.Not only has the government begun to pay attention to the preservation and development of traditional villages,but also more and more scholars carry deep researches about them.From the aspect of environmental aesthetics,this paper studies the features of spatial form in traditional villages and explores the secret between human and nature,which provides a new way for the preservation and protection of traditional villages in the future.This paper begins with the introduction of terms such as traditional villages,spatial forms and environmental aesthetics,as well as some related researches,which lay a theoretical framework for constructing a connection between spatial forms of traditional village and the environmental aesthetics.It is found in the research that environmental aesthetics comes from traditional culture and reflects in historical spatial forms of traditional villages.Next,it extracts environmental aesthetical views with Chinese characteristic from the traditional culture,which are the natural view of oneness of man and nature,the ethic view of harmony and order,the practice view of sustainable development.This paper thinks that the influence of the traditional villages space forms which based on the environmental aesthetic thoughts are mainly manifested in two aspects,the usage of environment and the symbol of spirit.Based on what have been researched,this paper takes the southeast of Hubei province to do an empirical study.It first introduces the features of natural environment and environmental thoughts;then it analyzes the influence of environmental aesthetical from the selection of sites,the organization and landscape of space,and the form of architectures.It ends with the finding that the spatial forms of traditional villages are a unity of ecology,environment,arts and environment,which is not only the space of production and living but also the spiritual home for the inheritance of culture and the combination of arts.To meet the developmental needs of current ecological civilization,environmental aesthetics,an emerging subject,provides new inspirations for the protection and development of traditional villages.It is not only necessary to protect the material space of traditional villages but also to attach importance to the ecological environment,the inheritance of culture and the historical type.To protect and develop traditional villages,it should be based on the unity of ecology and environment,with the unity of culture and environment at the core,as well as the unity of arts and environment as the supplement.
