With the continuous improvement of people's material life,more and more people began to pursue the enjoyment of the spirit and the personalized demand of products.Therefore,manufacturing enterprises must continue to innovate product design,making the product more and more complex and intelligent in order to meet the needs of consumers and improve market competitiveness.Mass customization could realize the innovative design of the products and meet the consumer's personalized needs to some extent.However,mass customization is not effective to meet the consumers' growing demand for products,because of the lack of access to customer needs.How to quickly and accurately obtain the consumer's demand information is the key to solve the above problems.Collaborative design is an important trend of technology update in the current design industry,but also the inevitable trend of the development of design technology.The main content of this research is to integrate the customer's intelligence into the product design process in order to realize the collaborative design between consumers and products manufacturers.Interactive genetic algorithm(IGA),as an evolutionary optimization algorithm,can effectively solve the implicit performance index optimization problem.The interactive genetic algorithm is applied to the research and development of new products,and the core problem is how to obtain and express the user's satisfaction,and how to eliminate the user's hesitation in the evaluation process,which could reduce the user fatigue to some extent.In order to solve these problems,this paper proposes the improved interactive genetic algorithms,as follows.(1)IGA based on hesitancy degree adjustment mechanism(HAM-IGA)is proposed.In which the concept of hesitation and the adjustment mechanism of hesitation are introduced to reduce the deviation of product evaluation caused by the user's hesitation.The product evaluations of users are more accurate,and the problem of user fatigue is solved to some extent.(2)IGA with the interval arithmetic based on hesitation(HIIF-IGA)is proposed.In which the interval number is introduced to express the user's evaluation of the evolution and to accurately represent the customer preferences.(3)Multi-Stage IGA(MS-IGA)is proposed.In which the evolution of the population is divided into several stages to simulate the process of the product design process.The customer's cognition degree is also improved,and the noise caused by the lack of the knowledge of the population is reduced.The user's hesitation and fatigue is also reduced.The improved interactive genetic algorithms are applied to the design of the car console concept design.The customers evaluate the product design through the user's graphical interface to better obtain the customer's individual requirements,and complete the product design.Finally,the conclusions and future research are introduced in this paper.
