The Landscape Design Studies For The Retirement Community

With the continuous development of aging,the proportion of aged population is increasing,which is putting pressure on providing for the aged.When young,they have made great contribution to our society.Thus,they ought to be respected and taken good care of.How to solve this difficult problem is what we should do urgently.In order to solve this problem,old-age supporting policy should be carried out in our country.That is taking family supporting as the solid foundation,community supporting as the strong support,organization supporting as the powerful sustenance.After on-the-spot investigation of aging communities in some places of Changsha City,community supporting is found to be the most suitable for aging supporting.However,there are also some problems in it.As a result,community supporting can not be used widely and can not achieve the expected results.Although community supporting of China has solved the problems of some elderly people,it can not meet requirement of the elderly.In addition,the level of community supporting is uneven.Some people can not afford to live and still some do not have the opportunity to live.Influenced by traditional ideas,most elderly people still choose to live at home.Besides,many families have great pressure because of"421" type of family structure.So,if environment being landscaped properly and being designed from the perspective of the needs of the elderly,it can not only express the humanistic care of the society,but also be beneficial to harmony and stability of our society.There are five parts in this thesis.In the first part,it mainly talks about the aim and significance of aged supporting environment as well as related development tendency at home and abroad.In the following part,due to the psychological and physical characteristics,several points should be noticed during landscape design,including service contents,components and rules that should be followed in design.The third part is a survey.Through visiting every community in Changcha City and analyzing the datum,a conclusion about aging communities can be made,which is a basis for the design plan of this thesis.In the forth part,with an aim of providing an effective landscape design which is suitable for the elderly,it analyzes present aged supporting environment at home and abroad.In the final part,after analyzing the aged environment of Feng Shushan community and finding the deficiency of the design,a suitable landscape environment which can meet requirement of the elderly is redesigned.Through discussion and design in the thesis,an effective solution can be provided for the aged supporting problems of our country so that the elderly can live a happy life,which lays a foundation for providing a comfortable aged communication for the future of our own.
