Research On The Layout And Building Features Of Zhili’s Provincial And Municipal Yamen In The Period Of Ming And Qing Dynasty

Zhili is a China’s old province during Ming and Qing dynasty,which located in the north China plain and is the most close to the imperial region of Beijing province.So it is regarded as "the most important province in Ming and Qing dynasty".Because of the Special geographic location,it has a long history and a lot of historical building remains.Provincial and municipal Yamen are the highest governing of Zhili province area,which set the the feudal hierarchy and the confucian system,they can represent the highest achievement of official building in one district.At the same time,because they are located in the north China plain,they have the typical characteristics of north building.Therefore,it is value to research as official building of the north.But as a result of the development of modern cities and some historical reasons,the vast majority of Zhili’s yamen buildings have gone.The research of Yamen is very rare in the region and failed to form a system.Based on the ancient official system and from the viewpoint of architecture,the author choose the most representative provincial and municipal office as the research object,aiming at rich Zhili’s Yamen research contents,contribute to research field on Yashu building in our country,provide basic data and theoretical guidance for reconstruction of Hebei in recent years at the same time.Based on the research results such as history,sociology,culture and archaeology,as well as field survey and literature data collection,and sufficient contrast theory Yamen in other regions for reference,analysis summarized the characteristics of zhili provincial capital area in the city site selection,plane and space layout and single building.Most of the thesis aim to discuss the common features of the two levels of yamen,part of the thesis mentions the difference.The paper mainly consists of three parts:The first part aims to forward problems,which is consisted of the first chapter of the article.Through research and analysis of present situation,the paper puts forward the research object— Provincial and municipal Yamen.In this part,author analysis the research background,purpose,significance,the domestic research status,and defines the research scope,contents,object concept.The second part is background analysis,which is consisted of the second chapter.Based on the origin and development of Yamen buildings,types and cultural implication,level regulation of Ming and Qing dynasty,the chapter put forward a view that provincial and municipal Yamen is an integrated product of rule,officials,and ritual.They represent the level characteristic of an era.The third part aims to analyze problems and summarizes the conclusions,which consists the third forth fifth chapter.This is the main part of the thesis.Provincial and municipal Yamen in Baoding,Shunde,Guangping,Zhengding and some other city have been wellpreserved and described completely.Based on the analysis of them,the papar summarizes Yamen’s location,distribution and individual buildings characteristics,which mix the state and regional characteristics.
