Red mud is the production of industrial waste generated by alumina.Because of its large emissions,and the low comprehensive utilization rate,the red mud piled up.It not only covers an area,but also contains a large number of harmful ingredients which will easily pollute the land,air and cause serious environmental problems.Researchers at home and abroad have made a lot of research on the comprehensive utilization of red mud,although some results have been achieved,the consumption of red mud is not large,the burden of red mud to the environment is still not released.In this paper,red mud will be used for cement concrete curb and cement stabilized gravel base to effectively improve the comprehensive utilization of red mud.In this paper,the mix proportion design of cement red mud concrete is carried out,and ordinary cement concrete is set up for comparative analysis.The forming process of cement red mud concrete was studied,and the appearance quality of cement red mud concrete curb was evaluated.The physical properties were studied by measuring the density,water absorption and shrinkage,and the mechanical properties were studied by means of compressive strength and flexural strength test.In addition,freeze-thaw cycle test was carried out to study the frost resistance.The experimental results show that when the mixing ratio of cement red mud concrete curb is cement: sand: crushed stone: red mud = 1: 0.34: 2.72: 0.77,the compressive strength reaches 28.3MPa at 28 d and the flexural strength of 28 d is 5.3MPa.The forming process is simple,and the red mud has no obvious influence on the forming process of cement concrete,the appearance quality is good,the water absorption rate is small,and the long-term shrinkage value is small.Cement red mud concrete pavement has good frost resistance.This paper carries on the mix proportion design of the cement red mud crushed stone.The best mixture of water content and the maximum dry density,were determined through the compaction test.The mechanical properties of the composites were studied by analyzing the compressive strength.Finally,the mechanism of the action of cement red mud was briefly analyzed.Based on the Fourth Ring Road Reconstruction Project in Zhengzhou,the construction technology was summarized and the test section was set up to measure the bottom and pavement deflection value to make a comparative analysis.The experimental results show that when the ratio of cement crushed crushed stone mixture is cement: red mud: crushed stone = 4: 20: 80,the unconfined compressive strength of 7d reaches 2.43 MPa,At the same time,the results of deflection measurement show that the cement red mud gravel base has good bearing capacity.The formation of the cement crushed stone mixture is not only the result of cement hydration and hardening.The addition of red mud has played a certain role in the hydration process of cement,the interaction between the red mud and cement hydration products also affected the development of mixture strength.Finally,the red mud is applied to the cement concrete curb and the cement gravel base,and the economic analysis is carried out,which shows that the incorporation of red mud can save more cost and reduce the project cost.The use of red mud in cement concrete and cement gravel base,not only consumes a large number of red mud,turns waste into treasure,and solves the problem of red mud accumulation,reduces the red mud on the environment pollution,but also has good economic benefits It also has a positive effect on the highway construction and the healthy development of aluminum industry.
