With the rapid development of economy in our country,the vehicle holdings has been more and more and cars have gradually become the main tools for people going out.While the people enjoy convenience brought by cars,and likewise they undertake the risk of vehicle may be stolen by robbers.The anti-theft devices of electronic type are adopted in most of cars at the present stage,but the effect of this kind of anti-theft device still is not very perfect,the criminal cases of vehicle to be stolen occur frequently,this shows that the electronic anti-theft technology is not yet enough mature.This paper mainly utilizes M3(ST'production M3 core)chip of 32 bits,STM32)of ARM controler(Acorn RISC Machine,ARM)to design that the overall design of a fingerprint recognition car alarm and positioning system hardware design,software design,fingerprint identification technology,the analysis of experimental results and conclusions.The overall design is the entire function of the system.The hardware design includes the fingerprint module,global communications system(Global System for Mobile Communication,GSM)module,global positioning system(Global Positioning System,GPS)module,liquid crystal display(Liquid Crystal,Display,LCD)hardware circuit module set.The software design mainly includes the software realization flow of each module and the code writing.Fingerprint recognition mainly deals with the processing and recognition of the collected fingerprint,including the preprocessing of fingerprint images,the extraction of feature points,and the storage of fingerprint feature templates.The fingerprint recognition technology adopted in the above system makes up the defects of electronic anti-theft device,it utilizes the uniqueness of fingerprint as the verification standard to improve the reliability and precision rate of the verification result and guarantee the safety of vehicles.This system is mainly through the fingerprint identification tostart the car,but also start the car with code vertification.If the vehicle safety is violated,the system will send commands to the GSM module through the STM32 controller,using the(Short Message Service,SMS)function of the GSM module to send alarm information to the owner's mobile phone,so that the owner can grasp the safety of the vehicle at any time.If the vehicle is stolen,the system is also supplemented by GPS positioning of the stolen vehicle tracking.GPS location information will be sent to the STM32 controller,and the using of the GSM module(General Packet Radio Service,GPRS)function will be transferred to the location of the STM32 server,the user can open the phone server to observe the location of the vehicle information.This makes the safety of the car has been greatly improved.
