Interior Design Of Ro-Ro Passenger Ship's Dining Room Based On Environment Psychology

With the shipping industry growing prosperity, the recognition degree of cabin interior design increases yearly. How to use the environment psychology theory and method in ship's cabin interior design well becomes a research hotspot. Based on the environment psychology research, this paper took the ro-ro passenger ship's dining room as design object,attempted to applied the environment psychology theory and method to the cabin interior design, provided a reference for future cabin interior design research.Based on the status of environment psychology theory research, selected the environmental perception, environmental behavior,environment awareness, and the demands of personal psychological space as the interior research elements. Combined with the research and analyzed methods to access the each element's environment psychology properties. Lay a foundation for specific the environment psychology effect factors in cabin interior design.Took the cabin environment as research object, combined with the interior elements'environment psychology property, analyzed the potential psychological impact factors on the environment to the passengers which included the space kinds of the cabin, furniture features, color features, lighting features, channel moving lines, and make appropriate amendments to the analysis of environmental factors.Aiming at the cabin's environmental psychology design method is still not perfect. This paper proposed to use environment psychology theory in cabin interior design. Combined with the research and analysis method, took the passengers' environment perception characteristics basis for cabin space function arrangement, accorded to their environmental behavior to plan the moving lines and the facility layout, and combine with people's environment awareness characteristics to design the cabin interior color and lighting.Started from people's psychological demand of the environment, and meet their psychological needs in the cabin space design.Took the ro-ro passenger ship's dining room as typical design example, applied the environmental psychology theory to survey questionnaires and observation records in the ship, analyzed and obtained the dining room's space functional arrangement, planed the moving lines and the facility layout, and designed the cabin interior color and lighting, at last,make out the dining room's interior design sketches and three-dimensional renderings show.
