At present,the number of car ownership increased year by year,in the meantime,the number of electronic equipment on board is also increased due to the development of new technologies,therefore the demand for the vehicle’s power supply steadily increasing.Automotive alternator is a core component of the automotive power supply system,the increase of vehicle power consumption is bound to test the stability of the alternator’s output capacity,especially the reliability of alternator rectifier system.The V3 alternator produced by the company is the object of study,and the alternator has over-temperature failure problem in the rectification system during the vehicle testing.Through the combination of experiment and theory,this thesis studies the effectiveness of the rectifier system cooling and cooling structure improvement,which laid a solid foundation for the reliable design of the alternator rectifier system.1),According to the working principle of the automotive alternator and the rectifier system,the mechanism of the over-temperature failure of diode as the key part of the rectifier system is analyzed and studied.2),Through the theoretical analysis and experimental simulation,the root cause of the failure of the V3 automotive alternator rectifier system is studied and analyzed,and the solution was proposed.3),The experimental results show that it is feasible to solve the problem by improved optimization of the alternator shield heat dissipation channel,the rectifying system heat dissipation structure and the diode compression molding process.In this thesis,the failure of the automotive alternator rectifier system is thoroughly studied and finally solved by the combination of experimental and theoretical method.This study provide a scientific basis for the company to deal with similar issues on similar products,also help to solve the problems in the production process and customer complaints,enhance the market share and brand reputation of the product.The research work has certain engineering application reference value for the design of automotive alternator.
