China's architectural design codes require the plane of the building should be as simple as possible and regular,so that the form of the construction will be more uniform,which is good to anti-seismic and should promote.However,with the rapid development of the city,the continuous innovation of various building forms,as well as the continuous improvement of the functional requirements of the building,a large number of irregular high-rise buildings are built,which includes a lot of corner-overlap structures.China's current high level building codes have very clearly defined requirements in the design of the building structure which is not appropriate to use the corner-overlap plane layout.The stress distribution in the corner-overlap parts is very complex,which has a great influence on the safety of the structure.So the study of corneroverlap structures has great practical significance.In this paper,the following contents are studied:(1)Through the comparison of the period ratio,inter-story displacement angle and the displacement ratio,The influence of different areas of the corner-overlap structures on the response of horizontal seismic action is obtained.(2)Due to the effect of torsion,the slabs of the corner-overlap frame shear-wall structures will suffer a relatively large effective stress.For the corner-overlap frame shear-wall structures,by changing the areas and slab thickness of the floors in the corner-overlap parts,using the mode-superposition response spectrum method and the time history analysis method to calculate,by the contrast analysis,the conclusion is drawn,and the measures are put forward..(3)An corner-overlap example under the rare earthquake is carried out by means of static elasto-plastic analysis.We can get the performance points of the structure and the order of the plastic hinge from the example.And then find the weak parts in the structure and propose the measures to strengthen.After analysis and research,we can see that the torsion effect of the structure can be changed due to the decrease of the corner-overlap area.In addition,in the design of the corner-overlap project,the thickness of the slab should be thickened,the length of the overlap area is increased,and the bottom strengthening region of the shear wall in the corner-overlap structures is recommended to strengthen details of seismic design of structural members.
