CSG material is a new type of dam material,which is to add a small amount of gel materials to riverbed sandy gravel or excavation abandoned materials such as easy to get near the dam site rock base material,and then the simple equipment and process after mixing material.CSG dam consists of CSG materials,which is not only has the advantages of economic,security,convenient construction in engineering,but also has significance to environmental protection.Therefore,CSG materials as a new type of dam materials,has a broad space for development.The water consumption is an important component of CSG material.This study is part of the scientific special fund project from the ministry of water resources,which is CSG material mechanical properties,durability and dam type research.The main research direction is water consumption on the properties of CSG compressive effects.The contents of experiment include five parts,mainly studied the relationship between water consumption and cement dosage,fly ash,sand ratio,age and compaction density.In the process of construction,Should realize the importance of water consumption,as an important factor to control,can improve the strength and improve the quality of engineering.The results show that:1.The optimal water consumption increases with the increase of CSG material,The optimal water binder ratio decreases with the increase of CSG material.2.The optimal water consumption and the optimal water binder ratio increases with the increase of sand ratio.3..According to each group compared results show that,the relationship between compressive strength and water consumption is polynomial function relation.5.According to water consumption changing with the gelled materia land sand ratio,it can be calculated that the optimal water consumption between 85kg/m3and125kg/m3 and the optimal water binder ratio between 0.95and1.35.
