The water consumption forecast is the heart of design and management of industry water supply engineering and industry development and the development of social economy. During the optimal control in water supply, the water forecasting is gist of structure of industrial sector and technology of industrial. The method and the effect directly affect the execution and the industrial output value benefit of the optimal control.On the base of summarizing various theories of industry water consumption forecast, different industry water consumption forecast model was extracted individually according to the character of different industry water consumption model and engineering example. Bring forward the best model in long term forecast of industry water consumption.Based on gray system theory, this paper built up a industry water consumption long range forecast gray model. Engineering example demonstrated its high precision in shanxi province industrial consumption.Artificial neural network is new technology and has been used in different fields. The BP model of artificial neural network was tentatively applied in industry water consumption forecast and it built industry water consumption model in MATLAB with high precision. This model applied shanxi province industrial consumption, the example demonstrated its high precision.Analyzing the applied condition and precision of advanced kinds of forecasting methods. Bring forward the best method of long-term forecasting in the industrial consumption. We fond the high precision shanxi province industrial consumption.
