Viewing platform is the building or structure for people to observe things and rest,and it is the communication medium for human and landscape.The design and building of the viewing platform is very common which the quality is uneven in the modern landscape design.There are few studies aiming at the viewing platform,then,the paper analyses and studies the application of the viewing platform in the garden.Based on the collation of the literature data,summarizing the development history and research status of the viewing platform at home and abroad.According to the viewing function and landscape function of the viewing platform,and combining with the theory of landscape aesthetics,landscape psychology,visual science and landscape sensitivity,the paper puts forward and define the concept of“landscape platform”."Landscape platform" refers on the basis of constructing viewing platform to meet the viewing needs of the people on the introduction of landscape design techniques,summing the platform and various landscape elements of surrounding environment to become integrated with the natural environment and human environment,and with a certain landscape aesthetic characteristics.Through the summary of the data analysis,field research,comparative analysis and other methods,according to the basic form of the landscape platform,the paper divides landscape platform into two categories: the flat type and the step type.Analysis on the combination of landscape platform and landscape elements: terrain and water,the paper sums up the people would like to build landscape platform in terrain's high points to get long-term perspective visual effect;in the garden water,people prefer to build a hydrophilic platform to create a hydrophilic space.In addition,analysing the Duoyishu landscape platform in Yunnan Hani terrace and "Qing Xi" landscape platform in Pearl Square of Qiandao Lake.Summarizing natural and cultural resources in the case,and analysing the visual sensitivity factors and ecological factors,to judge the rationality of the two cases and analyse the construction process factors,principles and practices of landscape platform,and generalizes the construction process of landscape platform in landscape.Firstly,summarizing the subjective and objective factors of landscape platform construction,analysing the site characterization and person as viewing subject,which impact of the landscape platform construction.Secondly,analysing the landscape visual sensitivity from the relative slope,relative distance,visual probability,striking degree 4 aspects,and analysing the landscape ecological sensitivity from the internal factors and external factors.Complexing those two parts determines the level of landscape sensitivity.Constructing landscape platform with the selection of high landscape visual sensitivity level and low landscape ecological sensitivity.Thirdly,according to the rational function,landscape coordination,ecological harmony,regional culture 4 principles,people can construct the recreation facilities,indicating facilities,sanitation facilities,decoration facilities,safety facilities and others,enhancing the rationality of the construction of the landscape platform.Analysis of landscape platform design process in accordance with the the full understanding of the site,the full use of the terrain and the water,the analysis of the line sight of the site,and the interface design of the landscape platform.According to the present situation of the case and other landscape platforms,combined with the problems existing in the modern landscape construction including site selection unreasonable,lacking of late-stage managementlate,lacking of coordination and facilities set unreasonable,the paper put forward corresponding solutions and provide a theoretical reference for the future landscape platform construction.
