The arc gear is the point meshing gear.it can be seen that the bearing capacity has been improved in different degrees with the increase of the number of meshing points on a single tooth through the study of single arc gear,double arc gear and quadruple arc gear.Likewise,it will have the same characteristics when applying the circular tooth profile to the spiral bevel gear.Quadruple arc spiral bevel gear is further applications of quadruple arc profiles.Theoretically,it's carrying capacity is greater than that of double arc spiral bevel gear.In addition,there is no more complex than the double arc spiral bevel gear in the processing,therefore,it has the meaning and value of its research.This paper has studied the meshing principle and meshing characteristics and has constructed the three-dimensional model of quadruple arc spiral bevel gear.In addition,this paper has been carried out the finite element analysis and simulation processing of quadruple arc spiral bevel gear.The details are as follows:(1)Starting from the processing principle,this paper has described the meshing principle and point contact tooth surface generation process of quadruple arc spiral bevel gear by analyzing the principle of double circular arc bevel gear meshing.(2)Based on the principle and meshing principle of quadruple arc spiral bevel,this paper has derived the tooth surface equation of quadruple arc spiral bevel gear.Based on the tooth surface equation,this paper have constructed three-dimensional model of quadruple arc spiral bevel gear by using the numerical analysis software MATLAB and 3D modeling software Solidworks.(3)Based on the finite element analysis software ABAQUS,this paper has carried out the static finite element analysis of the single gear teeth of the quadruple arc spiral bevel gear.The contact stress result shows that the carrying capacity of the quadruple arc spiral bevel gear capacity increased by about 30%compared with the double circular arc bevel gears,.(4)The meshing characteristics and meshing process of quadruple arc spiral bevel gear are analyzed by line graph method.Based on the above theory,this paper has deduced the calculation formula of the multi-point meshing coefficient and multi-tooth meshing coefficient.(5)Using of CAXA manufacturing engineers generated processing tool path of quadruple arc spiral bevel gear,and then carried out the simulation process,and generated a numerical control code finally.
