The Gaochun District Of Nanjing City Peony Industrial Park Planning Design Under The Perspective Of Slow City Concept

The rapid development of society has brought up a lot of problems to the city and the life of people.Moreover,regional cultural differences have been fading away.Therefore,they began to reflect on the meaning of “fast”,and pondering about“slowing down”,recovering a more healthy and natural life style.In order to creating the environment that meets the needs of people's modern life,it is inevitable trend to blend the concept of “Citta slow” into the future urban development.China is a developing country with a large population.At this stage,most cities in China do not meet the standard of “Citta slow”;however,this paper is to start from small area,combining the “showing respect to the nature,following up the traditions and emphasising the life quality”--which are known as the idea of “Citta slow”—with the city planning.This paper takes the design of Peony Industrial Park under the view of “Citta slow” as the subject of study,analysing the relevant concepts,theories and cases.By means of literature research,case analysis and field investigation,the author summarised the features of the relevant theories and cases which are compatible for Peony Industrial Park to learn.She then draws out the integrated planning theory for Peony Industrial Park,which is based on the theory of industrial ecology and supported by advanced technology.Moreover,as for the aspect of landscape planning,the integrated theory popped out the features of Peony Industrial Park while taking modern people's physiological and behavioural traits into consideration.After combining the SWOT analysis of the site of Peony Industrial Park in Gaobeng District of Nanjing and the idea of planning,the Peony Industrial Park is divided into leisure area,peony deep processing,planting area and different varieties demonstration area.In order to improve the active participation of tourists,starting from the human senses,plant landscape devided into four parts: a slow thinking area,slow appreciating area,slow listening area,slow sniffing area.Through the planning of the Peony Industrial Park,it will build into a place with a comprehensive function of peony flower research,production,exhibition,sales,slow-line,appreciation and education.Therefore the adjustment of the pattern of local agricultural industry could be promoted,and local industry and tourist industry could be unified,which would make the local economy and features to be more sustainable.The author hopes that this paper will provide some insights for the design and development of similar types of industrial parks.
