With the development of centrifugal compressor in petrochemical industry,power industry,metallurgical industry and so on,centrifugal compressor has become an important factor in the development of national economy.As the core component of centrifugal compressor,the performance of centrifugal impeller directly determines the safety and efficiency of centrifugal compressor.However,because of the failure of the centrifugal impeller caused by the air flow excitation,it is very important to study the dynamic characteristics of the centrifugal impeller.Firstly,in the point of theory,centrifugal impeller material properties andfailure modes were studied,and related theory of strength analysis and fluid dynamics was employed to explain the numerical calculation method.And in this paper,the mechanism of blade resonance induced by air flow was studied and analyzed theoretically.Then,the centrifugal impeller of a turbine machinery plant was studied,and the strength of the centrifugal impeller was calculated with the help of the finite element analysis software.And we can calculate the strength of centrifugal impeller through the analysis for the influence of blade fillet,blade thickness and blade number,and the relationship between the interference and contact strength as well as the fatigue life and failure evaluation of the centrifugal impeller were studied in this paper.Then,the dynamic characteristics of the centrifugal impeller under the excitation of air flow were studied in this paper.Through the impeller mechanical analysis software,respectively,from one-way FSI calculation,harmonic response analysis under the airflow excitation,modal analysis,and blade resonance analysis and other aspects were researched,and finally the cause of impeller failure was pointed out.Finally,in order to carry out the experiment to verify results of theoretical results of the research on the dynamic characteristics of centrifugal impeller in this paper,a lot of work was completed for the construction of experimental platform where the blade vibration test under airflow excitation,especially the airflow excitation system and blade vibration monitoring system,which plays an important role in ensuring the success of the verified experiment.
