| The building of new rural areas has been unfolded promptly in Chengdu City since it was selected as the first pilot city targeting coordinated rural and urban development through reforms in all sectors in 2007. New rural housing in Chengdu is exposed to enormous challenges and new development opportunities against this ever-growing trend.In one respect,people's demand for better indoor environmental quality can hardly be satisfied with the growth of buildings' potential energy consumption. In another respect, the large amount of rural housings is not in line with the application of unsuitability technologies.As new rural housings mushroom, the current situation of new rural housing construction in Chengdu calls for great attention. Some evident issues like unfavorable construction environment and huge growth of potential energy consumption should be focused on so as to achieve the balance between the improvement of indoor environmental quality and energy efficiency of rural buildings in a scientific manner. This can only be achieved by the application of suitability technologies to improve the living environment.Based on the study of suitability ecological technologies, this paper seeks to explore strategies for new rural housing construction, and carry forward the regional characteristics at the same time.This thesis discusses how suitability ecological technologies are applied in new rural housing construction in Chengdu mainly from the following aspects: enclosure structure and building shape, natural ventilation, natural illumination, sunshade and energy efficiency of buildings. In the meantime, different suitability technologies and ecological technologies are selected objectively to explore possible methods for new rural housing construction. In the end, it reiterates the historical mission of architects in the process of new rural area construction and calls on scholars to devote themselves to creating more comfortable and livable rural housing. |
