High-speed railway resources are limited due to high-speed railway transportation equipment, transportation organization and other factors,which can't match with the increasing passenger demand for high-speed railway. Efficient and rational use of limited high-speed railway resources, collaborative optimization of high-speed railway capacity and transportation capacity is of great importance and practical significance for high-speed railway development, as far as possible to meet more passenger demand. In this paper, the paper analyzes the effect of high-speed railway cross-line train on the efficiency of railway network capacity utilization. The specific research work is as follows:a) Different from the existing railway line, the high-speed railway operation serves only for the passenger demand; the waste of line capacity occurs when there is no or little the passenger demand, which could not be used by the operation of the freight trains. Based on the statistical operation data of the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway after it has been opened, a detailed analysis of the line capacity and transmission capacity utilization status of the high-speed railway main line and the bottleneck of the line operation are carried out in this paper. Meanwhile, the coordination of passing capacity and transmission capacity is proposed to increase as far as the attendance of the entire network trains in the case of the enough capacity through time, thus reducing the waste capacity of the railway network and to maximize the benefits if railway enterprises.b) From the perspective of cross-train trains operation, based on the data of the Beijing-Guangzhou main-line passenger flow and cross-line passenger flow, statistical analysis and data mining are carried out. The paper analyzes and summarizes the impact of the high-speed railway cross-line train on the capacity utilization efficiency of the whole network from four perspectives: the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of cross-line passenger flow, the cross-train transportation organization of high-speed railway,the pavement drawing of high-speed railway cross-line train and the delayed transmission of train.c) Based on the above-mentioned analysis of the bottleneck of the high-speed railway main-line capacity and the impact of cross-train operation, this paper takes the cross-line passenger flow and the OD distribution of the passenger flow as the service object. The combined operation pattern of a part of the cross-line trains that meet the operation conditions and a large number of main-line trains is proposed in this paper, and establishing a reasonable train operation mode to maximize the main passenger demand; fully considering the constraints of high-speed rail transport organization and capacity, taking the total running distance of unemployed seats in all the involved trains as the main optimization target for the proposed model, proposing a reasonable stop program and passenger distribution of those trains. The model involved in the paper is solved by CPLEX optimization software. Finally, the paper analyzes the operation effect of the lines of Changsha south-Guangzhou south, ShanghaiHongqiao-Changsha South and Huaihua South-Changsha South as an example, and uses the established model algorithm to optimize the validity of the model by the comparison between the optimizing mode and the current mode.
