With the development of modern urbanization,the change and migration of the city center,many of the old urban areas that have been the center of the city began to appear a lot of problems.Due to the rapid development of traffic,traffic congestion and security issues have become the troubles in the old city area,and in view of the restriction of road attributes and architectural landscape in old city,that it cannot be carried out road reconstruction plan by building new roads.Therefore,this article based on the maintenance of the original road conditions,to reconstruct the road space,which not only solve the traffic problems of old city road,but also to maintain the old city's cultural landscape and travel environment.Firstly,this paper defines and explains the basic concepts of the road space and the reconstruction of road space,then the influence factors of the space reconstruction are analyzed,and been used to define the condition and the function of the road traffic.According to the road attributes and traffic characteristics,this paper analyzes the applicative condition of the road in the reconstruction method,which makes the way of space reconstruction more systematic and practical.Because the traffic function of the old city area is obscure,it cannot be identified from the traffic volume and the road attribute.Therefore,the ide ntification of the skeleton section and the distribution section in the road network are studied in the third chapter.Firstly,the routes between all OD points in the road network are searched through the combination of the two indicators,traffic capacit y and travel time,and it improves defects and limitations of the shortest travel path selection algorithm.Then searching a reasonable path with the indicators “carrying capacity of path traffic flow” and the change rate of route total travel time when the carrying capacity changes.Secondly,the “road availability” is introduced to calculate and sort the utilization times of the road on the reasonable path,then the regularities of the threshold value is found out by the way of computational test.According to the threshold value,the initial skeleton network is obtained.Then with the network connectivity algorithm based on the "breadth first search",the connectivity of the skeleton network can be tested and supplemented,at last that can find out the final skeleton network.Finally the set of distribution roads in the road network can be identified through the qualitative identification of the living roads.According to the previous chapter for the applicative condition of the road and traffic function identification to research on reconstruction method of road space,this chapter analyses the reconstructed method of road space from three aspects,which contains the spatial structure of the road network,the cross-section space and traffic mode structure.Reconstructed methods include traditional reversible lane settings,lane release etc.,and as well as other emerging "sharing concept" design methods of opening the community roads and sharing streets.At the same time,the methods were illustrated by pictures and examples,that it shows that the reconstructed method is reasonable and practical.
