With the rapid development of China's expressway construction,China's expressway gradually into the large and medium repair period,so the aging of asphalt pavement regeneration is particularly important,so for the regeneration of regenerants in the process of thermal regeneration mechanism and evaluation methods are very necessary.In this paper,the aging process of asphalt and regeneration mechanism are described.At present,there are two theories of asphalt aging mechanism,one is the component migration theory and the other is the compatibility theory.The mechanism of regeneration is analyzed by the study of aging mechanism.There are three main factors of regeneration mechanism: component coordination theory,compatibility theory and rubber theory,and the technical requirements of regenerant are put forward by the action of regenerant.In this paper,the aging test of new asphalt,and then add the regenerated asphalt after aging,and the use of three major indicators of asphalt on the regeneration of four kinds of regeneration agent to evaluate the effect.This paper validates the experimental results of Benjamin Frank Bowers and Sheng Zhao,University of Tennessee,USA.The experiment is carried out by using gel permeation chromatography(GPC)to analyze the RAP mixing efficiency of recycled asphalt mixture.Based on this,The regeneration effect of the regenerant was evaluated.Mainly introduced into the gel permeation chromatography(GPC)at the same time the introduction of macromolecule size(LMS)and macromolecule threshold(LMT)concept.In this paper,different chromatograms were obtained by using gel permeation chromatography(GPC)for RAP,new asphalt blends and their mixtures to verify that they could be used to distinguish RAP,new asphalt blends and their mixtures.This method can quantitatively evaluate the effect of RAP regeneration or other factors on the regeneration effect of RAP and new asphalt.In this paper,the regeneration efficiency of the regenerant was evaluated by the mixing ratio.The four kinds of regenerators used in this paper were ZS-2 type asphalt regeneration agent,SZS type asphalt regeneration agent,GAR01 type asphalt regenerator and EVOFLEXTMCA high performance asphalt regeneration additive The The regeneration effect of four kinds of regenerant was analyzed as follows: EVOFLEXTMCA high performance bitumen regeneration additive,GAR01 regenerator,SZS type asphalt regeneration agent and ZS-2 type regenerator.By comparing the mixing ratio and using the mixing efficiency to study the regeneration effect of the regenerant,it is proved that the mixing ratio is an index to evaluate the mixing efficiency,and the regeneration effect of the regenerant can be evaluated by this index.
