In order to economize resources and avoid environmental pollution, the recycling of wasted asphalt pavement materials, in the medium and major asphalt pavement repair engineering, has got more and more attention. Accordingly, it becomes one of the study hotspots how to choose the appropriate regeneration agent to resume the technical performances of old asphalt. Therefore, combined with the trial section of central plant hot recycling in Hangyu road of S102 provincial highway in Zhejiang Province, the thesis carried out a research on the selection of regeneration agent and performance analysis of recycled asphalt to provide a scientific proof for the determination of a reasonable variety and content of the regeneration agent.The current situations and the success experiences of research and application for asphalt pavement recycling technology at home and abroad had been fully investigated. The performances of the recycled asphalt from the field trial section and the different types of regeneration agent were tested. Taking the central plant hot recycling technology as the main object of study, the aging degrees of asphalt were evaluated objectively in a qualitative and quantitative way with the tested results to research the aging mechanism. Then, the appropriate types of regeneration agent were chosen and mixed to determine the reasonable blending proportion by comparing and analyzing the reclaimed effects of reclaimed asphalts.According to the reclaimed mechanism of asphalt and the properties of regeneration agent, we selected the regeneration types of A, B, D with different blending proportion of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10% and 12% as well as a type of C with the blending proportion of 1%, 3%, 5%, 7% and 9% and mixed with the recycled asphalts to test the performances and the DSC thermal stability analyses. The test results were analyzed synthetically to determine the regeneration agent type C of 5% with the recycling asphalt for the optimum technical and economical performance.The recycled asphalts were prepared with the different regeneration types and the blending proportions such as 7% of type A, 10% of type B, 5% of type C and 11% of type D, and mixed with the different blending proportions of new asphalt of 20%, 40%, 60% and 80%, respectively. Then the performances were tested, and the DSC thermal stability analyses were conducted. Base on the test results, 60% of the blending proportion of new asphalt was determined.In short, according to the wide analyses and lots of indoor and outdoor tests, the appropriate type of regeneration agent and its blending proportion are determined to provide the scientific proof for the large-area application of central plant hot recycling technology.
