The methods of disposal ammunition often use explosion,combustion,mech anical processing and other methods,but they require higher for sites,equipmen t and technical personnel,so the above methods are not apply when the ammun ition is unstable,and where the environment is too complex to explode.The method of using thermite to disposal ammunition achieve the purpose by use th e heat generated from the thermite device to burn the explosive inside the amm unition,This method is suitable for the disposal of low-level ammunition,which is equipped with TNT,TNT combustion is too hard to change from burning to detonation,low-level ammunition has a thin shell,which can be melt through by the thermite device,and then burn TNT.The thermite device has the advan tages of simple operation,safe,reliable and small sub-hazards.The requirements of the device within thermite:the heat generated by combustion can be up to 3000? or more;The slag produced should be appropriate,the slag will block the nozzle when the slag is excessive,the heat is not enough when the slag is no-excessive;Produce more gas to make the slag flow faster.Through the burning time,melt penetration thickness,slag rate and other parameters,adjust the formula ingredients,optimize the nature of components to determine the best thermite agent formula:The metallic oxide include Cu0.Fe2O3 and KNO3,the flammable agent is Al,the gas-making agent is NH4ClO4,the binder is phenolic resin.The advantages of this formula:the destruction of the same volume of the hole with the destruction of the amount of less;Have a higher flame sensitivity,easy to ignite,have a lower mechanical sensitivity,safe production and transportation;There is a suitable gas production,not only to reduce the "hanging slag" phenomenon,but also to ensure that the risk of explosion;Adjust the density of the thermite and the structure of the thermite into a stable combustion;Have a certain resistance to moisture?The experimental results show that the gas production rate is 0.0707L/g.The high and low temperature experiments show that the high and low temperature does not affect the performance of the thermite.The mechanical sensitivity test shows that there is no fouling phenomenon under the friction and impact.X-ray diffraction?XRD?results show that the main products after combustion are Fe?Al2O3 and Fe2O3.
