For several years,the air quality and environmental problems in China have become increasingly serious in China,especially in urban areas.As a result,people's living environment is becoming the focus of the world.Chinese officials,including the country's top leaders,have been emphasizing the issue of environmental protection,but the effects were not obvious.In order to create a healthy living environment,green housing has become the development trend in China.How to develop green housing has gradually become the focus of recent studies.Based on the design of green housing,ecology architecture discusses how to apply the ecology principle to design green housing with far-reaching significance.BIM technology will subvert traditional design works for its design process is a continuous process of modeling.The model can improve the design efficiency and greatly reduce the duplication of work.The book Evaluation Standard for Green Building is domestically reviewed as the theoretical basis for guiding green housing.The concretization of design parametes in green housing promoted the standardized development of green building,avioding overlapping designs of green architectural technique.Focusing on the problems,the paper mainly presents a comparative study on every level in green housing with the introduction of BIM technology,which provides a reference for design ideas and methods in green housing.First,BIM technology,through the literature about BIM concepts,technical characteristics and technical advantages,has been comprehensively used for the entire life cycle of architecture and raised the level of science technology at all stages of the construction industry to promote the construction of informatization and modernization.The powerful application advantages of BIM with great value and broad application prospect are entirely harmonious with the purpose of green building.We have found ways and solutions to these problems.Second,the study of Evaluation Standard for Green Building demonstrates that the use of BIM has adapted to the current development of construction industry in China,but the usage and the scope of its application in green building technology haven't given a full account.Because of the vast territory and huge differences of climate and terrain in regions,techniques are unable to be found in Evaluation Standard for Green Building at the level of ecology building and green building technologies which fit the characteristics of the project are given no further details.The existing standard system in Evaluation Standard for Green Building in China is not perfect,so we need to find a new theory and technology for the improvement of green building in China.Third,a set of ideas and angles of Chinese ancient architecture has been summarized the design houses through the literature of Chinese traditional architecture.Through the comparison of modern concepts of green building and traditional architecture,there are four remarkable characteristics in green building.The first is energy saving.The energy-saving concept is applied throughout the whole period of residential life.The second is the adaptation to local conditions.The architectural design styles depend on the surrounding environment and climate.Ecology architecture is fully manifested in the use of local building materials without destroying the local water and vegetation.The third is the adaptation to the surrounding climate.Indoor Environment is close to nature due to the scientific circulation of internal and external construction.The fourth is that the building life cycle does not constitute destruction for the environment.Fourth,the paper,combined with literature and the author's true experience from design works and evaluation,made a practical study on the combination of BIM technology and Chinese green architecture.Strongly supported by BIM technology in green building,the information model is built from the planning and design stages.Then concerning the local meteorological data and environmental factors,revision,management and decision-making are guided by Evaluation Standard for Green Building with the help of accurate presentations in BIM technology.Finally,in the paper,a residential design as an example presents the residential design direction towards the development of green residence building by making adjustments and decisions to the project design through BIM technology.Architects analyze architecture from macro and micro levels,which provides decisions for architecture design by accurate simulation data of a high accuracy.BIM technology software enables the building to adapt to local climatic conditions and design a green economical and sustainable building project by its own characteristics.The design phase in green building plays a vital role in the construction,operation and management of green buildings,and also an important part in the life span of green residences.Due to the lack of a national project of engineering practice,the proposed design mode or the using software is not perfect,which posses a lot of areas requiring further improvement.The study has been finished,but the author's work and exploration of green building design will not come to an end.The concepts and ideas of green housing in this paper are expected to provide some references and assistance for persons concerned in this field.
